Blue Quest Group is a Brisbane-based water-treatment company commercialising a pre-coat dynamic membrane filtration platform. The science was invented at one of Queensland's leading universities and published in Nature; the modular Purus system around it is engineered in our facility at Windsor, QLD.
ORIGIN
The hydrate-gel chemistry that powers Purus was developed at one of Queensland's leading universities, exclusively licensed to Blue Quest, and is patent-granted. The modular engineered system that makes the chemistry deployable at industrial scale is patent-pending and was built in our Brisbane facility. We've taken the science out of the laboratory and into customer sites at CS Energy, Evolve Group, Terella Brewing and Surf Lakes — every result independently validated by ALS Laboratories.
The company has compounded over years — not pivoted. Below is the path from origin science to today.

Disruptive technology engineered in Australia. We don't iterate on legacy filtration — we replace it. Patented chemistry from a leading Queensland university, patent-pending modular system, in-house engineering on every system we ship.
Less chemical, less energy, smaller footprint. Built so the operator's ESG case writes itself. 1.8 bar operating pressure means our systems run on power profiles that conventional UF and RO simply can't.
9-18 month payback typical, independently observed. Hardware seeds the relationship; recurring chemistry and service hold it. Every dollar of OPEX we save the customer is a dollar that doesn't go back to a chemicals supplier.
The Purus series is three modular configurations of the same dynamic-membrane technology. Identical gel chemistry; capacity scaled by membrane area and pressure-vessel count. The 50.2 fits on a tank pad; the 100.5 is the industrial workhorse; the 100.20 is a 20 ft ISO container that drops anywhere.
Our R&D, engineering, hydrate-gel chemistry, system assembly, commissioning and customer service are all based at our facility at 49 Victoria Street, Windsor, Brisbane. We deliver and service Purus systems for Australian customers across manufacturing, energy, recreational, hospitality and rain-harvesting sectors.
