Chemical savings: Purus uses approved water-treatment-grade hydrate gel; backwash to drain. Replaces caustic, acid and biocide CIP cycles required by conventional UF and RO. Reduction modelled at ~70% based on independently validated Evolve Group trial data.
Energy savings: Purus operates at 1.8 bar (gravity-class). Combined Purus + RO specific energy is 0.8-1.5 kWh/m³ vs 3-5 kWh/m³ for standalone RO. Calculator applies a conservative midpoint delta of 2.3 kWh/m³ saved.
Payback: Annual savings ÷ indicative CAPEX. Independently observed customer payback at validated trial sites is <12 months. Vertical multipliers reflect chemical and energy intensity: mining and industrial weighted higher; rain harvesting weighted lower.
CAPEX range: Indicative only. Actual sizing depends on raw-water quality, required outlet specification and chosen separation cut-off. Final figure quoted on application after a brief site assessment.
